Guided by the theme “Rooted by the River” from Jeremiah 17:7–8, the Central Philippine University (CPU) Gospel Team successfully carried out its four-day Summer Evangelistic Outreach in Estancia, Iloilo. The mission sought to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ and bring messages of faith, hope, and spiritual renewal to communities across the municipality through creative and heartfelt ministry.

From June 5 to 8, 2025, the Gospel Team ministered in six churches across Estancia. The outreach began on June 5 with services held at Estancia Pentecostal Church and Daculan Pentecostal Church. On June 6, the team continued their ministry at Gogo Baptist Church and were warmly hosted overnight by Estancia Evangelical Church. The outreach concluded on June 7 at IKGCA Campus Church in Cano-An, Estancia, while the final day, June 8, was dedicated to reflection, fellowship, and spiritual debriefing among the team.

The Summer Evangelistic Outreach featured a dynamic array of activities designed to reach people of all ages. These included mini concerts with songs and expressive dances, evangelical drama presentations illustrating biblical truths and family realities, inspiring personal testimonies from team members, and the creative use of evangelism beads—Gospel bracelets—to share the message of salvation. Each program was capped with powerful altar calls, prayer sessions, and the preaching of the Word by guest preacher Rev. Samuel Escobin, who faithfully shared the Gospel at every outreach station.

The outreach was spearheaded by the CPU Gospel Team—a religious student organization dedicated to evangelism and discipleship—with participation from approximately 14 student volunteers. The mission was further supported by CPU Gospel Team officers, alumni, and local church partners in Estancia.

With hearts full of gratitude and stories of transformation, the CPU Gospel Team gathers for a group photo after their ministry journey in Estancia, Iloilo.

A total of 57 individuals accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior during the outreach, while 40 children were reached through child-friendly evangelistic activities. The team emphasized that these numbers represent not just statistics but transformed lives and new beginnings.

“This outreach was driven by our passion to fulfill the Great Commission and extend God’s love to underserved communities,” the CPU Gospel Team shared in an interview. “Our theme reminded us of the importance of being spiritually grounded and fruitful through faith. It was an experience of both giving and growing.”

The success of the outreach was made possible through the generous support and collaboration of various church partners, including the University Church of Central Philippine University, Estancia Pentecostal Church, Daculan Pentecostal Church, Gogo Baptist Church, Estancia Evangelical Church, and IKGCA Campus Church.

The CPU Gospel Team expressed deep gratitude for the warm hospitality of their partner churches and the logistical and spiritual support provided by the University Church and CPU. They also recognized the financial assistance extended by the university, which allowed the team to reach more people and maximize the impact of their mission.

“Outreach programs like this are vital expressions of our university’s mission to integrate faith and service,” the team emphasized. “They not only bring hope to communities but also ignite personal revival among students. We hope more of our fellow Centralians will take part in or support these transformative initiatives.”

As the CPU Gospel Team returns to campus, they carry with them stories of transformation, strengthened faith, and renewed commitment to serve.
