Dr. Carmen Pama-Santos

Dr. Carmen Pama-Santos and her family have recognized the need for a speech laboratory at the CPU Junior High School and in the University. In support of this, they have generously donated over one million pesos (Php 1M) towards the establishment and upgrade of the speech laboratory, named or known as the Dr. Carmen P. Santos Speech Laboratory.

Specifically, Dr. Santos donated six hundred thousand pesos (Php. 600,000.00) for the establishment and the additional four hundred eight thousand, five hundred ninety-three pesos and fifty centavos (Php. 408,593.50) for the laboratory’s upgrade. The amount for the upgrade was officially transmitted through Rev. Dr. Howard Ernest B. Dagohoy, the President of Central Philippine University, on February 6, 2024.

The speech laboratory, located at Rooms 307 and 308 on the 3rd floor of the CPU Junior High School Building, is just one of the many contributions made by the Santos family to CPU. It is worth noting that the Santos family has also donated the Santos Park, the Engr. Jose U. Santos Multi-Purpose Center (a gymnasium for the CPU Elementary School), and the recently donated Hyundai County 3.9L E4 Mini Bus.

In addition, Dr. Santos and her family have provided cash awards and incentives for University athletes and honor pupils in the basic education schools, as well as cash awards for honor graduates and board topnotchers in the CPU College of Education.

Dr. Santos, an alumna of CPU (BSE, major in English and Mathematics, Summa cum laude and MA, major in English) is a Distinguished Centralian Awardee in the fields of Education and Business. She currently serves as the Corporate Treasurer of the Central Philippine University Board of Trustees, Inc., and is the Consultant for CPU Basic Education Units.

CPU President Rev. Dr. Dagohoy and the Junior High School Principal Prof. Charlett B. Dianala have formally expressed their sincerest gratitude to Dr. Santos and her family for their exceptional generosity and commitment to the advancement of Exemplary Christian Education for Life (CPU-EXCEL).
