CPU’s student-led startups RidA and NeoPark, incubated under DOST-CPU CPUGAD TBI, proudly secured 3rd and 5th Place at PITCH PH 2025, showcasing innovation and excellence on the national stage.

Two DOST–Central Philippine University (CPU) CPUGAD Technology Business Incubator (TBI) student-led startups from the College of Engineering made their mark on the national stage after securing top spots at PITCH PH 2025 of the Philippine Association of Engineering Schools International Conference on Engineering Education (PAES ICEE) at the University of Santo Tomas last September 13, 2025.

This event brought together some of the country’s most promising innovators, providing a platform for engineering students and young entrepreneurs to showcase groundbreaking solutions to real-world challenges.

RidA, a unified ticketing platform for land and sea-based provincial transport, earned 3rd Place, while NeoPark, a smart parking management system, clinched 5th Place in the prestigious event. Both teams are incubated under the DOST-CPU CPUGAD Technology Business Incubator (TBI), which serves as a nest for student innovations.

RidA seeks to replace outdated and fragmented provincial transport systems with a centralized, digital-first solution for booking, managing, and monitoring travel. Meanwhile, NeoPark aims to ease city mobility by using sensors and a mobile app to give drivers real-time updates on available parking spaces.

The achievements of RidA and NeoPark are the result of CPU’s strong support for student innovation. From the Technopreneurship 101 course to incubation through Central Launch, and further training via the WEN Ignite Program of the Wadhwani Foundation, the teams were guided by CPUGAD TBI Project Leader Engr. Gelvie C. Lagos, General Manager Mr. Mark Gil D. Peraman, and the College of Engineering led by Dean Engr. Mary Earl Daryl A. Grio, together with department heads and faculty mentors.

As the sole representatives from the Visayas, the two startups proudly showcased CPU’s spirit of innovation and excellence, proving that great ideas can spark transformative impact when nurtured in the right environment.

CPU celebrates with RidA and NeoPark on this milestone and looks forward to their continued success as future leaders and changemakers in the world of technology and entrepreneurship.
