From Nesting Ideas to Nurturing Startups
Launched on July 15, 2024, CPUGAD TBI has rapidly grown into a hub for startup incubation, research commercialization, and collaborative ecosystem-building. Its flagship programs—including the N³ Incubation Program, Central Launch, IdeaHatch, Crack IT, Fin-X, Nest Circle, and BIRD’s i-VIEW—have guided founders from ideation to market readiness.
Within a year, the incubator has:
- Empowered 81 student founders
- Incubated 19 student-led startups
- Assisted 7 innovation-driven enterprises
- Supported R&D spin-offs and alumni startups
These milestones reflect CPUGAD TBI’s commitment to transforming ideas into viable ventures while cultivating the entrepreneurial spirit within the CPU community and beyond.
Catalyst for Regional Innovation
Beyond supporting startups, CPUGAD TBI has actively built regional and national linkages, benchmarking with other TBIs, mentoring emerging incubators, and embedding sustainability and inclusivity into its programs. Its facilities and services have become vital resources for innovation and commercialization in Western Visayas.
By integrating research, entrepreneurship, and industry collaboration, CPUGAD TBI is redefining the role of a university-based incubator—not only as a training ground for student founders but as a catalyst for a vibrant and resilient startup ecosystem.
A Testament to Visionary Leadership and Collaboration
The recognition as Outstanding TBI for Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology underscores CPUGAD TBI’s impact on students, faculty, startups, and the wider community. Guided by visionary leadership and powered by collaboration, it continues to “nest ideas, incubate success, and help ventures soar high.”
“This milestone is proof that when academia, government, and industry come together, innovation flourishes,” said CPUGAD TBI General Manager Mark Gil D. Peraman. “We dedicate this award to our student founders, partners, and mentors who share in our mission of building a sustainable and inclusive future through entrepreneurship.”
