Twelve faculty members of the Department of Languages, Mass Communication, and Humanities participated in the Forensic Linguistics Seminar on October 11, 2019, at the University of St. La Salle-Bacolod.
Organized by USLS-Bacolod, the seminar, a first in Western Visayas, highlighted the talk of Dr. Marilu R. Madrunio, an expert in the field of Forensic Linguistics. She discussed the various scopes of the said field and how Forensic Linguistic had made an impact on other areas, especially law. Dr. Madrunio also talked about the relevance of Forensic Linguistics to teaching and learning and how language teachers can contribute to the field through research and practice.
The seminar was organized by the College of Arts and Sciences of USLS-Bacolod in celebration of its 60th anniversary.
