Students were given the chance to ask CPU Administration Officials during the Tingog Estudyante Town Hall Meeting.
CPUR officials, LGUs, and Organizations and Fraternities held a town hall meeting for all student leaders within the university to state their questions and concerns for the university to take actions on their claims and concerns regarding their safety, welfare, and the things they would like to change or add to school rules and protocols. The town hall meeting was hosted by CPUR President Danz Quimba and the claims and concerns was happily answered by our Pres. Teodoro Robles and VPAA Esther Rose Romarate.
Students were able to state their concerns regarding, the schedule on when the gates will be closed, facilities in every building, scholarships, online classes, class schedules etc. President Robles and VPAA Romarate are definitely active and glad to give solutions to their concerns. Although some of the questions were put on hold because higher ups needed to deliberate, which is understandable, most of the queries received appropriate answers. Overall, they were able to respond to the questions to a certain extent.
In an interview with one of the student leaders, Mr. Karl Bolante, he said “I think the most important question that was asked during the town hall meeting was about the issue on class schedules, both online and face-to-face. It is true that it is a hassle for all students to comply with some of their schedules because it’s a struggle for students to attend a face-to-face class after attending online classes and some are not living near the university. There is also an issue of traffic during rush hours which also hinders the student to be on time during face-to-face classes. But I understand that we are still on the process of transitioning from the new normal setting of classes towards the traditional one so I hope the administration will be thorough with coming up with a solution in this issue.”
The Town Hall Meeting was one of the many activities prepared by the CPUR to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
