CPUR Officials S.Y. 2019 – 2020.
As we prepare for the upcoming Christmas day, the CPU Republic also prepared something for the Centralian community.
In an interview with CPUR Prime Minister Richard Manolo, the student republic collaborated with the CPUAAI (CPU Alumni Association, Inc.) to administer an amusement park and rides in Halfmoon Drive. The Local Government Units (LGU) will also prepare a Christmas Village in front of Roblee Science Hall and Franklin Men’s Dormitory.
Manolo also added that the CPUR will also introduce the first ever “Lamparada,” a parade of lights, which will be joined by different fraternities and organizations of the university on December 13, Friday.
“Isa pa gid ka activity ka CPUR is ang Lamparada, first time na siya and it is a light’s parade pero composed na siya sang frats and orgs sang university, sa December 13 na siya,” Manolo said.
LGUs will also spearhead nightly events starting December 7, Saturday.
December 7 (Sat) – College of Hospitality Management
December 9 (Mon) – College of Arts and Sciences, CARES and College of Education
December 10 (Tues) – College of Nursing, College of Medicine, College of Pharmacy and College of Medtech
December 11 (Wed) – White Gift and An Evening of Christmas Carols, University Church and College of Theology
December 12 (Thu) – Christmas Jam, College of Engineering, College of Computer Studies and CPUR
December 13 (Fri) – Light’s Parade, Kindergarten, Elementary and Junior High School
December 14 (Sat) – College of Business and Accountancy and Senior High School
On December 8, the CPUR will also have an outreach program in BJMP (Bureau of Jail Management and Penology) in Ungka, Jaro. They will entertain the prisoners and will be distributing hygiene kits.
“And then regarding naman sa outreach sang CPUR, sa December 8, may ara kami outreach dira sa BJMP sa Ungka. Mahatag kami sang hygiene kits and at the same time we will give them entertainment,” Manolo said.
