Relwen Clyde Arevalo Magbanua, a CPU JHS student, represented the Philippines for the Asia Youth International Model United Nations.
Relwen Clyde Arevalo Magbanua, a grade 10 student of the Special Science Class (SSC) from the Junior High School (JHS) Department, represented the Philippines for the Asia Youth International Model United Nations (AYIMUN). This is a platform to engage youth leaders from all over the world where they could share perspectives and ideas in solving world issues, with a total of 700+ delegates from 84 countries present.
The AYIMUN March 2022 was held from March 11-13, 2022 via Zoom Conference. On March 11, 2022, the Opening Ceremony and Online Symposium was conducted. On March 12, 2022, a Full-day Committee Session was done. And on March 13, 2022, the virtual confab finished with a Half-day Committee Session and Closing Ceremony.
Relwen was assigned to be a Delegate of Algeria to the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) of AYIMUN March 2022 which he defended through a position presentation. He was awarded Honorable Mention of the UNHRC, a council with 70+ participants.
He will be a delegate to the AYIMUN Virtual Confab on May 2022.
