CPUGAD TBI and its incubated startups, Kuray Innovations, ArticuLit, and HEX Technology, proudly showcased their reef restoration, AI-powered EdTech, and smart greenhouse farming solutions, respectively, at the 2025 Regional Science and Technology Week in Western Visayas, exemplifying CPU’s commitment to innovation, community impact, and sustainable development.
The much-awaited Regional Science and Technology Week (RSTW) VI 2025 officially opened on September 10, 2025, at Robinsons Roxas City, gathering innovators, startups, researchers, students, LGUs, MSMEs, and partners from across Western Visayas. Hosted by the Department of Science and Technology Region VI (DOST VI) in partnership with Capiz State University (CapSU), the Roxas City LGU, the Provincial Government of Capiz, and Robinsons Roxas, the three-day celebration from September 10–12 showcased the transformative power of science, technology, and innovation in building smart and sustainable communities.
Representing Central Philippine University in this landmark regional innovation event, the CPU CPUGAD Technology Business Incubator (TBI) and its incubated startups proudly joined the exhibits, exemplifying their mantra: “Nesting Ideas, Incubating Success.” Through incubation, ideas are nurtured, refined, and launched into impactful solutions that address real-world challenges.
CPUGAD TBI Startups in RSTW 2025 Exhibits
Three CPUGAD TBI incubated startups showcased their innovations in different themed exhibits during the week:
- Kuray Innovations joined the Blue Economy Exhibit, with CEO Kiara Bonifacio and COO Lois Senegocio presenting their reef restoration technologies that aim to revive fish populations and strengthen the livelihoods of coastal communities. Their work highlights how sustainable marine solutions can help secure a bluer future for generations to come.
- ArticuLit featured at the Next Gen Learning Exhibit, led by CEO Basil Jermanos Amso and COO John Lloyd Panizales. Their AI-powered EdTech platform transforms passive listening and reading into active, literacy-focused learning. With personalized, adaptive tools and real-time feedback, ArticuLit is designed to enhance core literacy skills and unlock the full potential of learners.
- HEX Technology, a CPUGAD TBI spinoff incubatee, showcased GROWT (Greenhouse Remote Optimization with Wireless Technologies) at the Smart Harvests Exhibit presented by Engr. Gelvie Lagosm, CEO and Founder of HEX Technology and CPUGAD TBI Project Leader. GROWT is an IoT-enabled platform designed to transform greenhouse farming into a smart, automated, and sustainable system, empowering farmers to monitor and manage key environmental factors for more efficient and greener harvests.
