Reliving our younger days! CPUDHS ’94 marches back to campus for their 30th reunion celebration.

With the theme “BACK TO THE FUTURE: Revisiting Our Past, Embracing the Future,” the CPUDHS Class of 1994 celebrated its 30th class reunion on July 26 and 27, 2024, with a bang!

The two-day event kicked off with an early morning parade on campus and a courtesy visit at the CPU JHS Principal’s Office and grounds. A lunch fellowship followed at the EMC Conference Room, where CPU President Rev. Dr. Ernest Howard B. Dagohoy, in his message, congratulated the batch for the overwhelming number of attendees and for coming “home” to CPU. Prof. Charlett B. Dianala, JHS principal, on the other hand, reminisced about the good old high school days and formally thanked the batch for its donation of ₱20,000.00 to the JHS Drum and Bugle Corps. To honor their teachers, both still teaching and those retired, a serenade was rendered by the batch while presenting them gifts of appreciation.

The afternoon session held the election of the new set of officers for 2025–2029, with Dr. Florentino P. Alerta II, Trustee of the CPU Alumni Association, Inc., inducting them to office. The Day 1 celebration closed with a friendly basketball match among them at the university gym.

The festivities continued with the gala night set at the Waterfront Restaurant and Bar on July 27.

Batchmates and friends enjoyed the fellowship over sumptuous food as the outgoing officers thanked everyone’s cooperation and support and made their final bow as they gave way to the new set of officers. Games and surprises were the main attractions during the night. A fireworks display was also one of the highlights of the evening.

The reunion was well attended by close to 200 alumni. This is already the fourth reunion held by the said batch; the first was on their 10th, followed by the 20th and 25th reunions. The next reunion will be held five years from now, in 2029.
