The 18th CPU Alumni Golf For-A-Cause Tournament held at the Santa Barbara Centenary Golf Course, Santa Barbara, Iloilo on October 8, 2022 was participated by 105 golfers from Negros, Davao, Manila, Korea and Las Vegas (where Centralian Engr. Melvin Junsay came from to join the Tournament).


Dr. Catedral presents an award to Tournament Director Boy Jalbuena.

As has been his field and expertise, former CPU Alumni Association President Isagani ‘Boy’ Jalbuena was Tournament Director. The annual tournament resumed after a two-year suspension due to Covid-19. Jalbuena, who has been Tournament Director since its inception, emphasized that, “The Golf Tournament is an annual activity of the Centralian Golfers during the celebration of the University’s Foundation Day. It is a fund raising activity to help student athletes of Central Philippine University.” This year is the 117th CPU Foundation Day.

The event ended up with everyone sharing their experiences and fun in the golf tournament. The Awards Night was graced by CPUAAI President Dr. Florentino P. Alerta, CPU Corporation Member Mr. Carl de la Peña and CPUAAI Liaison Officer, Ms. Tina P. Hortelano.
