CPU Federation of Overseas Alumni Association President, Lee Romulo Jara Plagata Jr.
We would like to feature your Alumni Chapter President beginning this issue of the Weekly Centralian Link. We shall be glad to include your CPUAAI Chapter in one of our issues in the future.
We begin in this issue with the newly inducted President of the CPU Federation of Overseas Alumni Association, Lee Romulo Jara Plagata Jr., a Filipino and a Naturalized US Citizen. He is a resident of Braid Court, Gilroy, California. His parents – Romulo Doromal Plagata and Leticia Jara Plagata. He is married to Girlie Hudierez Plagata.
Mr. Plagata is a CPU High School graduate. He finished his BS in Mechanical Engineering also in CPU batch 1981. He took his MBA from the University of Redlands (Redlands, CA, USA) in 1995.
He worked with Lockheed Martin SSC from 2008-2017 as Staff Facilities Engineer. His work experience in the U.S. includes Risk Assessment, Project Management, Contracts Management, and Infrastructure Project Planning. He also worked as Project Manager for Applied Materials in 2007; site commissioning contract work; construction coordination; and vendor management – Intel Corporation from 1995-2007 Sustaining Mechanical Engineer / First Line Manager.
He has intensive experience in Mechanical Engineering and controls, ISO9000 compliance, data center facilities management, and United States Navy 1982-1995 Non-commissioned Officer (PO1). Areas worked: Steam propulsion operation, distilling plant, air conditioning operation, and repair.
