(From R-L): Mr. Ismael Isidto (Past President, CPUAA-Australia Chapter); Mrs. Phoebe Isidto; Atty. Jeremy Bionat, CPUAAI Trustee and Immediate Past President; Mr. Teodorico Biñas; Mrs. Perpetua Biñas; Dr. Esther Rose A. Romarate, CPU-Vice President for Student Affairs; and Ms. Tina Marie Hortelano, Alumni Liaison Officer, gathered for a photo opportunity in front of the CPU-Alumni Affairs Office.

On January 20, 2025, the Central Philippine University Alumni Association – Australian Chapter made a special visit to their alma mater. The delegation, which was warmly welcomed by the university, included Phoebe Isidto, Ismael Isidto, Perpetua Biñas, and Teodorico Biñas.

One of the highlights of the visit was the announcement of continued funding for their Chapter’s scholarship program, which supports deserving Centralian students. This initiative has been personally funded by its members, with the goal of helping scholars pursue their education and receive Exemplary Christian Education for Life (EXCEL).

“We continue to fund our scholarship to ensure that future generations have the opportunities for success and growth,” Secretary Phoebe Isidto said in an interview. “As alumni, we understand the importance of giving back to the university that shaped our futures.”

Along with this announcement, the alumni chapter also shared exciting news about their efforts to recruit new, younger members. In a bid to ensure the long-term sustainability of the chapter and its initiatives, the group is actively seeking to attract younger members to step up and take leadership positions.

“It’s essential for our chapter to thrive for years to come,” explained Perpetua Biñas, a member of the chapter. “We need new voices, fresh perspectives, and the energy of younger alumni who can take the chapter into the future.”

The chapter reassured everyone that support from current officers and members will always be available. They are dedicated to mentoring new recruits, offering guidance, and ensuring a smooth transition of leadership to maintain the chapter’s continued success.
