CPU welcomed DOST-SEI representatives for an ocular visit and courtesy call with CPU President Rev. Dr. Ernest Howard B. Dagohoy on February 9, 2026, as part of preparations for the 1st National Patriot Research Conference (NPRC 2026).
Central Philippine University (CPU) welcomed the Department of Science and Technology – Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI) for an ocular visit on February 9, 2026, in preparation for the 1st National Patriot Research Conference (NPRC 2026).
DOST-SEI representatives present were Ms. Susana Esquivel, Senior Science Research Specialist; Joshua C. De Larosa; Kyle John D. Lumahog; and Reylen M. Jabian from DOST VI. Assisting them were Engr. Bernie Cangrejo, Head of the Packaging Engineering Department; Engr. Sharon Rose Dumam-ag; and Asst. Prof. Sarex Dalida Dipol, Jr., Director of the Community Engagement and Service-Learning Center.
The visit provided a firsthand look at CPU’s agriculture-related facilities, research initiatives, and innovations. Highlights included the College of Agriculture, Research and Environmental Sciences (CARES), where Dean Dr. Jaime Cabarles presented advanced equipment and facilities; the CPUGAD TBI Co-Working Space; and the College of Packaging Engineering Laboratory. The visit also featured a courtesy call with CPU President Rev. Dr. Ernest Howard B. Dagohoy at the BOT Conference Room, Rex D. Drilon Hall.
The ocular visit aimed to provide meaningful research exposure, strengthen partnerships between DOST-SEI and CPU, and explore potential opportunities for future collaborations.
