“Make me a blessing to someone today.” – Central Philippine University will host a basic computer eyes training of high school students from Iloilo with visual impairment on July 24 to August 4, 2023 on which CPU President Dr. Teodoro C. Robles has approved the venue and lodging of the trainees.

One computer room will be used for the 10-day computer training, and for the installation of the NVDA software (especially designed) for the visually impaired students. The participants will come from several municipalities of Iloilo.

Ms. Angel Kayle De Sesto, a visually impaired Licensed Teacher, a LET Passer and a CPU graduate of Bachelor in Special Education Batch 2020 will be in–charged of the training, and at the same time, serve as trainer.

In the May 25 meeting with Dr. Robles in his office, De Sesto discussed details of the special computer training in CPU. She was accompanied by the Vice President for Student Affairs Dr. Esther Rose Romarate.

De Sesto expressed gratitude for CPU’s assistance since her college. She said that, “I can never forget how the university embraced me for success.” She thanked Dr Robles for approving her request and the support he has for the training. She also thanked the Office of the VPSA and the CPU College of Education.

The special training for the impaired was previously shared by De Sesto during an interview in Looking Forward Public Affairs Program of CPU TV Channel, after her appointment as official trainer for the visually impaired in Iloilo.
