The Central Philippine University (CPU) team, known as UniHub, clinched the “Best Startup Pitch” award at the Regional Pitching Competition for Region VI during the Philippine Startup Challenge 8 (PSC 8). The competition, held on October 12, 2023, showcased innovation and entrepreneurial excellence from students across the region. Additionally, the UniHub team secured the second position in the overall competition.
UniHub, comprising team members Jed Matthew Mamosto, Teddie John Rajeev, Hans Gabriel Daduya, and mentored by Marie Ariessa Lane Ko, demonstrated their entrepreneurial prowess and innovation in the competition, which was met with fierce competition from other regional participants.
The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) emphasized that the “Question and Answer” segment was particularly rigorous this year, making the Regional Pitching Competition more challenging than ever before. The participating teams presented their startup concepts through live pitching sessions, impressing both the judges and the audience.
Under the discerning evaluation of expert judges, the following teams secured major awards:
