One of the group performers during a previous Valentine Concert in CPU.

The CPU Symphonic Band ensemble will perform in front of the Fine Arts Building from 9:00AM to 11:30AM on February 14, Valentines Day. Band Master Icyn Bautista said that, “This Valentines, eight band members will perform on their specialized instruments; trumpet, saxophone, trombone, flute, guitar, vocals and piano; they are also going to play the Kundiman, OPM love songs, love songs from movies, contemporary and modern love songs that will capture the hearts and ears of listeners.”

He added that “This year‘s Valentine concert will have more melodies to bring back everyone’s memories – with love songs in the air.” This year’s concert theme is “Sharing Our Love Thru Music”.

The CPU Symphonic Band Members are students who earn their scholarships thru their talents in music. Their time is dedicated in practicing with instruments, and performing with the group during events, special presentations and university celebrations as ordered.
