Central Philippine University has reached its target enrollment numbers for pre-collegiate, collegiate, and post-collegiate programs for the first semester of the 2024-2025 school year. This accomplishment highlights the institution’s pursuit of academic excellence and its expanding student body.

The university’s enrollment target was set at 15,000, and the tally exceeded expectations, with 15,096 students enrolled as of September 4, 2024. The breakdown is as follows: elementary (732), junior high school (1,297), kindergarten (107), and senior high school (1,814). On the other hand, the collegiate total is 10,531, while the post-graduate total is 615 enrollees. It is expected that these figures will continue to rise since the last day of enrollment for the School of Graduate Studies and the College of Law is scheduled for September 9, 2024.

CPU President Rev. Dr. Ernest Howard B. Dagohoy expressed enthusiasm about the record enrollment. “Classes for the first semester of the school year 2024-2025 had already commenced and I am delighted to welcome the transferees, as well as the new and returning students to the campus,” he wrote on his Central Updates: From the Desk of the President. “As we embark on this new school year together, let us do so with a sense of purpose and a spirit of optimism. We will navigate the challenges, celebrate the triumphs that lie ahead, and instill in our students the value of Exemplary Christian Education for Life (EXCEL).”
