Central Philippine University (CPU) recently held an initial coordination meeting with the Central Philippine University Federation of Overseas Alumni Associations (CPUFOAA) to strengthen its resource generation partnership, with CPUFOAA serving as the conduit for international donations from alumni chapters abroad in support of the College of Law and Medicine Building.

Representing CPUFOAA was Pastor Edward Pormilos, Treasurer, who provided updates on international giving pathways, coordination protocols, and the organization’s continuing support for CPU’s development initiatives.

CPU was represented by Dr. Florence P. Bogacia, Vice President for Finance and Enterprises, and Atty. Nestle G. Taala, Resource Generation Secretariat.

The meeting focused on aligning procedures, refining donation flow mechanisms, and strengthening coordination between CPU and CPUFOAA for the ongoing ₱250 Million Capital Campaign for the College of Law and Medicine Building. Both parties emphasized the importance of transparency, accountability, and consistent communication with alumni chapters abroad.

As part of CPU’s efforts to generate support for this major project, the Resource Generation Committee is now calling for entries for the Songwriting and Jingle-Making Contest, encouraging the CPU community and alumni to creatively participate in promoting the campaign.

This initial engagement marks an important step in harmonizing processes with CPUFOAA. Additional coordination meetings and documentation reviews will follow to ensure that CPU’s international donation mechanisms remain aligned, efficient, and supportive of the University’s long-term development goals, particularly the construction of the College of Law and Medicine Building.
