CPU student innovators from CPUGAD TBI won 3rd Place at the Iloilo Province Startup Hackathon 2025 with their project GeoTraizer, an AI-powered web application that transforms complex project data into actionable geographic insights.

Iloilo City, Philippines – September 24, 2025 — Young innovators from the DOST–CPU CPUGAD Technology Business Incubator proudly brought home 3rd Place at the 2025 Iloilo Province Startup Hackathon, themed “Hack the Future: Startups for MoRProGReS Iloilo.”

The student-led team impressed judges with their groundbreaking solution, GeoTraizer, a mobile-first web application designed to transform complex project data into actionable geographic insights. By integrating intuitive visual analytics with AI-powered assistance, the platform helps organizations make faster, smarter, and more informed decisions while breaking down technical barriers to project management.

Representing Central Philippine University, the team was composed of:

  • Rhea Rizz Perocho – BSSE 4, Founder of NeoPark
  • Rowell Emerson Celebria – BSECE 4, Founder of NexLock
  • Gea Gaje – BSECE 4, Founder of NexLock
  • Augusto Mier Hiponia – BSECE 3, Founder of NexLock
  • Anthony John Aparicio – BSSE 4, Founder of NexLock

Their achievement highlights the growing impact of CPU student startups in the regional innovation ecosystem. This recognition proves that Iloilo’s young innovators are ready to address real-world challenges with creativity and technology-driven solutions.

The Iloilo Province Startup Hackathon was organized in collaboration with the Iloilo Provincial Government through LEDIP Center, UMWAD Western Visayas, Fyrlab Accelerator, Iloilo Science and Technology University, and ISAT U Kwadra TBI. The event brought together student innovators and startup founders to develop solutions that support the province’s MoRProGReS development agenda.

By fostering innovation, collaboration, and problem-solving, the hackathon not only celebrated the ingenuity of Iloilo’s youth but also reinforced the province’s vision of sustainable growth through technology and entrepreneurship.
