Mr. Edwin C. Laru-an, CPU Sports Director, attended the Asian Football Confederation Local Media Seminar 2018 at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on November 19-20, 2018.
The said seminar aims to establish the best practices and adherence to the media regulations of the AFC. It also seeks to highlight the role of local media in encouraging participation of local players and coaches to uplift the said sport.
A former media practitioners himself, Mr. Laru-an aims to use the learnings of the said seminar to promote football across the region through the influence of both traditional and new media in sharing the local stories and triumph brought about by the sport.
AFC was founded during the 2nd Asian Games held in Manila in 1945. Today it has 46 member associations.
