Bidlisiw Foundation, Inc. with CPU President Dr. Ted Robles, CESL Director, and CPU Faculty during the MOU signing.
On July 12, 2023, Central Philippine University and Bidlisiw Foundation, Inc. signed a Memorandum of Understanding – with the goal of uplifting Filipino communities and carrying the mission through various programs.
Bidlisiw Foundation is a non-government agency that advocates for poverty-stricken families in Visayas, especially in Metro Cebu and Iloilo, with its goal to help with the quality of lives of the Filipino community and family members. Their programs focus on health, education, technical-vocational training, and livelihood. The projects are possible through dedicated and trained workers and staff, through well-equipped training; in coordination with LGUs and other non-government organizations. Bidlisiw and Central Philippine University are sharing the same vision.
The programs are supported by the CPU Community Engagement and Service-Learning Center (CESL) led by Director Levi de los Santos. It aims to provide expertise from various departments and colleges from the university, highlighting livelihood training and other methods pertaining to Hospitality and Financial Management, Housekeeping, Baking, Cooking, Food Processing, Basic Farming, Sewing, and Dressmaking for beneficiaries who are mostly indigent children, families and communities.
