During the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) and turnover of funds together with the Department of Science and Technology Region VI (DOST VI).
On June 19, 2024, the Central Philippine University, led by President Rev. Dr. Ernest Howard B. Dagohoy, signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Department of Science and Technology Region VI (DOST VI) held at the BOT Conference Room.
Together with representatives from the CPU’s College of Engineering – Packaging Engineering Department, the said signing marks the official launch of the project titled “Strengthening the Packaging Technology Resource Center (PTRC) and Expanding Assistance for MSMEs in Western Visayas.”
After the signing, there was also a turnover of project funds amounting to two million six hundred seventy-six thousand and nine hundred thirty-two pesos (Php 2,676,932).
Rev. Dr. Ernest Howard B. Dagohoy expressed his profound gratitude to the DOST VI for their commitment to scientific excellence and national progress, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in achieving sustainable development goals and enhancing the country’s global competitiveness in science and technology.
There is a need to recognize the need for a comprehensive packaging knowledge center. This initiative will remarkably enhance access to expert consultation services, innovative packaging solutions, and advanced technical and laboratory assistance.
As CPU embarks on this collaborative journey, it remains committed to advancing scientific research, promoting technological innovation, and contributing to national development agendas.
