The Career Exploration Tour provides CPU SHS learners with firsthand exposure to the Bachelor of Science in Packaging Engineering program and its career opportunities.
Career Exploration Tour – CPU Senior High School (CPU SHS) learners recently had the opportunity to explore the field of Packaging Engineering through a guided laboratory tour at the CPU College of Engineering. Organized as a student recruitment initiative under the Office of Institutional Advancement, the tour aimed to introduce students to the Bachelor of Science in Packaging Engineering program, its career opportunities, and hands-on learning experiences.
The learners were gathered for a program orientation lecture by Engr. Bernie Cangrejo, Ms. Alexa Chloe Pizon, and Mr. Ron Adrian Dionaldo, CPP who provided an overview of the program, its significance across various industries, and the role of packaging engineers in product development and sustainability. They were then guided through the state-of-the-art Packaging Engineering laboratory by Mr. Danielle Dale Sentillanosa, where they observed live demonstrations of packaging design, material testing, and innovative technologies used in the field.
CPU SHS learners actively participate in discussions on engineering applications in packaging, gaining valuable insights for their academic and career paths.
According to Student Recruitment Officer Atty. Nestle Taala, the tour gave students the opportunity to witness how engineering concepts are applied in real-world settings, which can greatly influence their academic and career decisions. Students actively participated in discussions and hands-on activities, expressing their appreciation for the immersive experience.
The Career Exploration Tour is also open to other colleges or departments in the University that intend to participate in the Tour.
