The Reigning Mr. and Miss SHS 2023, Mr. Carl Jibri Cham Sia (HUMSS) and Miss Ma. Gabriel Librodo (NMPL).; with First Runners -Up Mr. Kyle Adrien Sumile (ABM) & Miss Kiana Marie Efondo (HUMSS) at the Rose Memorial Auditorium.

The search for Mr. & Miss Senior High School 2022-2023 was held on January 12 (Thursday) for the Talents and January 13 (Friday) 2023 for the Pageant. Both segments started at 1:00 pm at the Rose Memorial Auditorium. The event was prepared with sophistication and elegance; with lots of talents and beauty. The candidates, representing their so called “Sub Republics’’ (Humss, ABM, NMPL and AITA Republic) emphasized the essence of beauty, talent and wit. In their casual wear or attire, some may have been nervous, but everyone was confident to do their best for the Talent Day.

The program started with an opening prayer by Mizpah Adrielle Acero, Board Member for Clubs and Organizations and Co- Chairs, Mr.& Ms SHS. The Singing of the National Anthem followed. Mr. Sonilo Crasco, Jr., Adviser CPU SHS Student Council gave his Opening Remarks. The Board of Judges were presented and the Reading of Mechanics and Criteria followed. The talent portion was exciting as the candidates’ performances were interesting. The Closing Walk of the Candidates seemed to have ended with a preview of the upcoming Pageant on Friday, January 13.

The Governor of CPU Senior High School Student Council, Danille Virl Idemne delivered her Closing Remarks. Janelle Sargado, Board Member for Outreach and External Affairs and Co-Chair Mr. & Ms. SHS led the Closing Prayer. The program ended with the singing of Central, My Central. Ms. Jewel Kate Grcia and Mr. George Nicolas Sanches were Hosts of the Program. Judgement Day came with pomp and expectations. It started exactly as scheduled and the pageant began with grace and splendor; thanks to the sponsors, judges and presenters. The segments were enhanced with special intermission numbers and the inherent capability of the SHS Mr. & Miss candidates; the judges were professionals, experts and masters in “beauty and brain” competitions.

The board of judges was introduced and a production number followed before the candidates were presented. There were Intermission numbers in between the Casual and the Formal Wear portions of the pageant, and before the Awarding of Special and Minor Awards. The Top 3 candidates were announced, and the Question and Answer Portion followed. Next, was the Final Walk of the Top 3 Mr. & Miss candidates. The outgoing Mr. & Miss SHS 2019 had their Final Walk.

Finally, the reigning Mr. and Miss SHS are Mr. Carl Jibri Cham Sia (HUMSS) and Miss Ma. Gabriel Librodo (NMPL). The First Runners-Up are Mr. Gabriel Catequista (EITA) and Miss Satee Julia Robles (HUMSS); Second Runners -Up are: Mr. Kyle Adrien Sumile (ABM) & Miss Kiana Marie Efondo (HUMSS).

The Awarding of Major Awards was followed by the Final Walk of Mr. & Miss SHS 2022. Mr. Herman Jornadal and Ms. Michelle Razelle Ybañez were Hosts of the Program.
