CPU’s Entrepreneurship Week, with the theme “Innovation and Sustainability Through Entrepreneurship,” was held from May 8 to May 12. CPU Senior High School students from the ABM and HUMSS strands participate in the aforementioned activity. The students are divided into groups and given the responsibility of creating their product. They are also allowed to showcase their creativity by beautifying their stalls and coming up with distinctive names for their stalls.
According to Blanche Faith Margate, a Grade 12-2 ABM student, the goal of this activity is to hone abilities that will help them in their future careers. They wanted to have halo-halo as their product because of the scorching temperatures that Filipinos are experiencing this summer. Their halo-halo was placed on a melon, making their product one-of-a-kind. “Sweet-Siritsit” is the name of their stall. “Sweet, because Halo-halo is known as a dessert or a sweet.” Halo-halo is a combination of gelatin, fruits, beans, shaved ice, and milk. However, “Siritsit” is a butterfly who enjoys persuading others. To sell their products, they need to convince people to purchase them. Halo-halo is another type of food that makes Filipinos known in other countries. The design of their stall also reflects creativity and culture of Filipinos.

Darwin Solalinib, a 12-2 HUMMS student, explained their unique product. He is in charge of leading their group and collaborating with his cooperating groupmates to ensure the success of this project. Their stall was named “Crunch in Munch” because their main product is a crunchy and chewable hotdog coated with crumbs. Their menu includes Yumdog (a corndog), Mojos (thinly sliced potatoes), and Fruity Go (a fruit drink), and they also have combos where they mix these products. These products are priced between P 30.00 and P 75.00, making them affordable to students.
