Guiding futures ahead: CPU SHS Career Guidance Program 2026.

The Central Philippine University Senior High School (CPU-SHS) recently held a Career Guidance Program on January 28, 2026, at the Rose Memorial Auditorium for Grade 12 students, who are nearing the completion of their academic program.

The morning session featured guest speakers who shared valuable insights on preparing for the career of one’s choice. The first speaker, Ms. Hydee Marie B. Zereso, CDSP and JPO Focal, discussed the importance of soft skills in the workplace. She was followed by Ms. Rouella Cheyenne C. Aberia, a Job Placement Officer, who presented various career options that students may consider in the future. Lastly, Prof. Pedro P. Galeno emphasized that career paths are not always linear but grow through continuous learning and experiences.

The afternoon session ran from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., featuring insightful presentations from university representatives who shared valuable information about college programs, emerging industries, and the skills needed to succeed in both higher education and the workforce. Students actively participated in interactive discussions, asking questions and gaining clarity on the various paths offered by CPU after senior high school.

A highlight of the session was the presentation of Atty. Nestle G. Taala, CPU Recruitment Officer, who delivered “Why Choose CPU,” introducing students to the university’s programs, opportunities, and values. Another key segment was the panel discussion, where speakers from various CPU colleges addressed student inquiries and shared personal insights into their respective fields. This allowed students to gain practical perspectives on what to expect in collegiate life and future careers.

The event affirmed CPU’s commitment to empowering SHS students with the knowledge and confidence they need to make well-informed decisions about their futures.
