CPUSHS Student Council Ministry of Finance holds a financial literacy seminar to empower participants to secure a stable financial future.

The Central Philippine University Senior High School (CPUSHS) Student Council conducted a financial literacy seminar on January 30, 2026, at the Rose Memorial Auditorium, featuring insightful talks about the importance of financial literacy.

The program was spearheaded by SHS Ministry of Finance Board Member Elyka Marie Lambarte. The initiative aimed to equip students with essential financial literacy, focusing on prudent saving habits, the mechanics of banking, and financial independence. The students were empowered to make informed financial decisions and develop responsible money habits at an early age.

The event showcased presentations from two guest speakers: Blessed Bea Plondaya, Chief Operating Officer of Prometheus, and Ma. Estrella Davidon, Branch Manager of PNB General Luna. Complementing these discourses, the program incorporated informational booths from leading financial institutions, BPI and PNB. Bank representatives engaged with Grade 11 and 12 students to discuss specialized financial services tailored for young account holders. Through this combination of insightful talks and interactive exhibits, participants were empowered to navigate fiscal complexities and cultivate responsible money management habits at an early age.

The seminar concluded with a renewed sense of fiscal responsibility among the Centralian youth. The CPUSHS Student Council has provided a vital stepping stone towards the students’ future financial stability. The participants carried not only practical banking knowledge but also the confidence to manage their resources wisely, ensuring they are well-prepared for the economic challenges of adulthood.
