Turn-over of donations for the fire victims of Ma. Christiana Jaro, Iloilo City led by the Ministry of External Affairs Senator Reizia Chleo B. Anaud and College of Education Representative John Roemm G. Carreon.

In an impressive demonstration of community involvement and solidarity, the CPU Republic and its Local Government Units, led by the Ministry of External Affairs Senator Reizia Chleo B. Anaud and College of Education Representative John Roemm G. Carreon, have successfully carried out the inaugural Tabang Gikan for the victims of the June 30, 2024, fire incident in Brgy. Ma. Christiana, Iloilo City.

The Tabang Gikan initiatives show the strong community spirit and support central to the CPU and its partners. Senator Reizia Chleo B. Anaud and Representative John Roemm G. Carreon have demonstrated that teamwork can quickly aid those affected by the fire. As they work to stabilize the situation and support the victims, the CPU Republic and its partners remain committed to providing ongoing aid and adapting as needed. The Tabang Gikan initiatives highlight the power of community cooperation in dealing with crises and building resilience.

The fire incident that hit Barangay Ma. Christiana, Iloilo City, displaced numerous families and left them in need of assistance. The CPU Republic and LGUs swiftly mobilized resources and support systems to aid the affected residents in response to this disaster. The Tabang Gikan initiative underscores CPU and LGUs compassionate response while exemplifying the community’s resilience and determination. Through unified action and unwavering support, the affected residents are receiving vital aid during this challenging time, reaffirming the formidable strength of unity in the face of crisis.

Local Government Units that donated include CAS, CBA, JHS, COL, CCS, and COED. In addition to the LGUs, various organizations also contributed, including CPU Teatro Sining Atbp, SNED, BEED, MSF, BPED, and the Computer Science Society. The inventory of donations collected through these efforts includes 14 boxes of clothes, 6 boxes of goods, and 57 five-liter bottles of water.
