Central Philippine University has undergone a 3-day audit by the Certification International Philippines (CIP) on May 23-25, 2022 via a remote reassessment for the renewal of its International Standards Organization (ISO) 9001:2015 registration certificate. The audit objective is “to evaluate and confirm continued compliance and effectiveness of the management system as a whole, and continued relevance and applicability of scope including significant changes against the requirements for recertification.”

After the audit of most colleges and units in the university, the audit team of CIP has recommended that CPU will receive the renewal of the (ISO) 9001:2015 registration certificate for the scope, “provision of educational and support services”. The formal certificate will be mailed soon by CIP.

The previous certification was issued on July 12, 2019 by Certification International Inc. Philippines Chairman and President Renato V. Navarrete and is valid from July 12, 2019 to July 8, 2022.

(ISO) 9001:2015 registration certificate is issued to any organization, regardless of size or industry, after passing the global standards of quality management system (QMS). More than one million organizations from more than 160 countries have applied the ISO 9001 standard requirements to their quality management systems.

CPU was first issued its (ISO) 9001:2000 certificate on December 10, 2004.

The Quality Assurance Center (QAC) headed by Acting Director, Dr. Anna May A. Yap-Zerrudo, and QAC Acting Assistant Director, Prof. Sharlene G. Gotico, facilitated the conduct of remote reassessment of units/colleges according to the audit plan set by CIP and made sure that everyone was ready with their documents.
