The ITechCare team from CPU-CARES proudly receives their award at the Agri-Tech Innovate Ideation Workshop, held at Iloilo Science and Technology University (ISAT-U) on March 24, 2025.
The ITechCare team from Central Philippine University’s College of Agriculture, Resources, and Environmental Sciences (CARES) and College of Computer Studies (CCS) emerged as one of the winners in the inaugural Ideation Workshop of Agri-Tech Innovate: Accelerating Digital Solutions for Sustainable Agriculture & Fisheries. This workshop, a pre-acceleration initiative, aims to harness the knowledge and skills of Filipino youth in developing innovative digital solutions for agriculture. The event was held at Iloilo Science and Technology University (ISAT-U) on March 24, 2025.
The ITechCare team, composed of Jesse Jot Auman, Rayman Jude R. Tina, Azel Mae Moquera, and coach Homer E. Deloso, presented their project entitled “AgrIFIND KIOSK: Machinery Rental and Trading Software.” During the brainstorming and idea refinement session, eleven teams worked on enhancing their proposals with guidance from experts. After refining their ideas, the teams presented them to a panel of judges, including Mr. Ojerio, Joever Nuevaespaña, CTO & Co-founder of ZenLabs Venture Management Inc., and Vanessa Joy Tuburan, Focal Person of the DICT Region 6-ICT Industry Development Bureau (IDDB).
The top three proposals will advance to the next phase of the competition: the Boot Camp, a series of mentoring sessions in Quezon City this June. This is a significant opportunity for the ITechCare team, along with teams from Aklan State University and Capiz State University, as they represent Region VI in the nationwide competition. They will be competing against student-innovators from across the country, showcasing their digital solutions for sustainable agriculture and fisheries.
Additionally, another team represented Central Philippine University (CPU) is Caretechcare. The team is composed of students Erwin F. Bangha-on Jr., Daizelle Nicole Diaz, and Tairo Deoni Garcia, with Homer E. Deloso serving as their mentor.
