Winners of the CPU Resource Generation Campaign Logo Contest receive their certificates and cash prizes, together with key university stakeholders, during the awarding ceremony at the BOT Conference Room.
Central Philippine University (CPU) celebrated the creative talents of its academic community during the awarding ceremony of the “Together We Build: A Journey Toward Excellence” Fund Campaign Logo Design Contest, held at the BOT Conference Room on July 2, 2025.
The contest, which forms part of CPU’s three-year Resource Generation Campaign, invited students, faculty, and staff to design a logo that visually represents the University’s fundraising initiative to construct a state-of-the-art building for the College of Law and the College of Medicine. The campaign underscores CPU’s commitment to shaping future leaders in law and medicine, while fostering national transformation through education.
Taking top honors in the logo contest were Ms. Krishna Kashmer D. Gulanes and Ms. Elisha Anne E. Bueno, who both tied for 1st place and received PHP 5,000 each along with certificates. Ms. Alyssa Daine L. Gimotea secured 3rd place, receiving PHP 2,000 and a certificate. Contestant Ms. Angela Marmol was also recognized for her contribution and participation in the program.
The awarding was graced by the presence of key university officials including University President Rev. Dr. Ernest Howard B. Dagohoy, Dr. Irving Domingo L. Rio, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Esther Rose A. Romarate, Vice President for Student Affairs. Their attendance emphasized the University’s full support for the campaign and recognition of artistic excellence within the CPU community.
The success of the contest was made possible through the leadership of Dr. Dimpna C. Castigador, Director of the Office of Institutional Advancement as the Chairperson and Rev. Dr. Francis Neil G. Jalando-on, Director of the CPU Office of Communications, contest Co-Chairperson, together with dedicated committee members Mr. Efraim Alfaras and Mr. Donald A. Lebrilla. Special acknowledgment was extended to Atty. Nestle G. Taala, Student Recruitment Officer, who played a vital role in coordinating the contest. Although unable to attend the awarding, Dr. Lenny Rose P. Mucho, Director, CPU Review, Continuing Education, and Consultancy Center (RCECC) and Ms. Jazel May D. Juntoria were also recognized for their contributions to the initiative.

The contest was officially announced and posted on CPU’s official platforms on May 14, 2025, inviting the CPU community to creatively support the University’s goal of a P250-million resource generation campaign. The winning logo will be prominently featured in all campaign materials and events and showcased on the Centralian Link and CPU’s official website.
The “Together We Build: A Journey Toward Excellence” campaign aims to construct a multi-storey complex housing lecture halls, moot courts, simulation rooms, collaborative spaces, and wellness facilities—designed to equip CPU law and medical students with world-class training environments. Through avenues such as the “Adopt-a-Brick” program, alumni giving circles, and corporate partnerships, the University is calling on Centralians and partners worldwide to take part in this legacy-building endeavor.
