Relief goods for typhoon Paeng-affected households in Brgy. Boulevard Molo, Iloilo City were distributed by CPU Rotary Club of Jaro Centraline (RCJC) and Rotaract Club of Jaro Centraline (RCJC RAC) last November 8, 2022.
Rotaractors from Central Philippine University donated clothing and 7 sacks of rice for the 124 identified families. Strong winds and coastal surge of water destroyed houses; washed away belongings of families living along the shoreline.
Mr. Virgilio Villanueva, Barangay Captain of Brgy. Boulevard and the affected households welcomed the ‘Dream Team’, led by CPU Rotary Club of Jaro Centraline President Pastor Jec Dan Borlado. Rotarians Nenalyn Besa, Mary Jean Timario, and Marilyn Erodias were present during the distribution of the relief goods. They shared the 4-way test and prayed for the community.
The RCJC and RCJC RAC would like to thank all those who contributed and participated in the successful activity, especially the Rotarary Club of Molo – with their Dream President Pepe Isada for providing clean and safe water for drinking. The CPU Rotary team personally looked at the damages in the Boulevard’s shoreline community, after the relief goods distribution.
