The art of crafting manuscripts for publication stands as a prerequisite for achieving excellence in the realm of research. The ability to produce impactful outputs in scientific journals is essential for any researcher. Recognizing this, the CPU Review, Continuing Education, and Consultancy Center (RCECC), in collaboration with the University Research Center (URC), hosted a Seminar Writeshop on Writing Manuscripts for Publication in Scientific Journals on November 14, 2023, at the Henry Luce III Library.

The writeshop served as an intellectually invigorating event, focusing on equipping participants with the indispensable skills and knowledge required for effective manuscript writing. Attendees actively engaged in the session, culminating in the submission of their manuscript drafts by the end of the day. Dr. Evelyn Grace D. Ayson, Acting Director of the University Research Center, served as the resource speaker, emphasizing, “The primary objective of the writeshop is to propel research excellence for the students, faculty, and staff of Central Philippine University.”

Dr. Ayson, drawing from her wealth of expertise in research writing, delivered invaluable insights that enriched and inspired the participants. She expressed enthusiasm for future professional seminars, stating, “We anticipate hosting more seminars of this caliber for the students of CPU.”

The collaborative effort between CPU RCECC and URC in organizing this seminar-writeshop underscores the commitment to fostering a culture of research excellence within the university community.
