CPU Professor Eric Cordivilla Otayde was recently designated as Provincial Legal Adviser of Antique Province Citizens Crime Watch (CCW) Regional Chapter for Region 6. He is authorized to extend assistance to the Regional, Provincial, Municipal and Barangay Chapters in matters pertaining to operations of all task groups such as Anti-Graft and Corruption Task Force, CCW-HPG Auxillary, Task Force Kalikasan, and other duly authorized Task Forces and Special Task Groups by the regional and national leadership.
In pursuit of mutual cooperation in the accomplishment of the government’s thrust and mission for the general welfare of the people, Otayde is authorized to coordinate with LGU’s, local police, military units, and other government agencies.
In a memorandum signed by CCW National President and CEO Diego L. Magpantay, Otayde will help among others, institutionalize community-based projects that shall enhance anti-poverty efforts, as well as to conduct monitoring of all forms of crimes and corruption.
In an interview with Otayde, he said “it is a privilege to serve the community and people.” Otayde served as Public Information Officer of Antique for 15 years, and has organized many projects in the province of Antique. He has a radio program that supports the provincial government of Antique. Prior to his work as faculty in CPU, Otayde has an academic stint with the University of Antique.
Otayde is a Professor of Political Science at CPU’s Social Sciences Department. He is a member of the Centralians in Mass Media, and the Central Philippine University Political Science Alumni Association.
