On June 2, 2025, Central Philippine University (CPU) participated in the 63rd National Convention of the Association of Christian Schools, Colleges, and Universities (ACSCU), hosted by the North Luzon Cluster at the gymnasium of Wesleyan University-Philippines (WUP).

The CPU delegation was led by University President Rev. Dr. Ernest Howard B. Dagohoy, along with Dr. Carmen N. Hernandez, Chairperson of the Department of Business Administration, and Prof. Janet Jaco, CPUES Principal.

This year’s convention centers around the theme, “Quality Assurance for Christ Centered Education: Transforming Learners, Impacting Communities,” emphasizing the shared commitment of ACSCU member institutions to uphold academic excellence, integrity, and transformative leadership grounded in Christian faith. The event brought together 143 participants from 64 member institutions nationwide.

The three-day convention concluded on June 4 with a Consecration Service and Closing Ceremonies held at the University Chapel. During the proceedings, new ACSCU officers and trustees for the 2025–2028 term were elected. CPU President Rev. Dr. Ernest Howard B. Dagohoy was elected as one of the trustees, joining other academic leaders in guiding the association’s direction over the next three years.

CPU’s active involvement in the convention reflects its unwavering commitment to promoting Christ-centered education and contributing to national dialogues on innovation, quality assurance, and values-based leadership in the academic sector.
