Central Philippine University actively participated in the 2nd Global Summit on Education on December 6-7, 2019 by sending two qualified university directors as presenters in the plenary presentation.
The summit held at Adamas University in Kolkata, India was participated in by research presenters and speakers from the USA, Ukraine, Vietnam, Philippines, France, Nepal, Bangladesh, India, and other participating countries.
Dr. Ananias C. Sabijon, Jr. (Ph.D. in Education), Director of CPU Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence (CPU-CTLE) and Dr. Mary O’ T. Penetrante (D. Mgt.), Director of the University Research Center (URC) presented their research papers entitled “Standards for Teacher Evaluation Based on Evaluation Instrument” and the “State of Entrepreneurship Education Among Business Schools in Iloilo City, Philippines Through the Lens of Students and Teachers” respectively, during the plenary presentation.
Aside from being one of the research presenters, Dr. Sabijon also served as one of the panelists during the “Panel Discussion by Eminent Educationists” part of the session. He joined other selected eminent educators from India, Nepal, Bangladesh and other selected panelists from the participating countries.
The global summit was organized by the Global Educators Initiative for Sustainable Transformation (GEIST) International Foundation (GIF) and the Adamas University. GIF is a “registered non-profit organization established with the prime objective of improving global competence among students and educators globally, especially state alumnus community.” Meanwhile, Adamas University is the “top-ranked Private University in Eastern India” and “since its inception, it has pursued excellence not only as a goal but as a way of life.”
