Mr. Adeo Guillever T. Gutierrez, a 2nd-year student from the CPU-College of Nursing, is elected as the First President of the CPU Outreach Student Volunteers Society.

Last August 14, 2025 (Thursday), the selected members of the CPU Outreach Students Volunteers Society elected key officials for a newly established student organization. The CPU Outreach Students Volunteers Society is an organization intended to promote the spirit of volunteerism, leadership, and community service to the CPU students and the community.

The creation of this student organization is based on the Republic Act No. 9418, also known as the Volunteer Act of 2007. This law mandates promoting and institutionalizing volunteerism in the country and its importance in nation-building and international cooperation. Also, the Department of Economy, Planning and Development – Philippine National Volunteer Service Coordinating Agency (PNVSCA), is a government agency that helps the University to craft and implement various volunteerism initiatives, and one of them is the creation of this student volunteer organization.

In the last election of the officer of this organization, Mr. Adeo G. Gutierrez, a 2nd year student from the College of Nursing, was elected the first president of the organization. Aside from him, Vice President: Niña Allyn Rose B. Amase, BS ECE 1 (Electronics Engineering); Secretary: Julia Cristine A. Galino, BS Nursing – 2; Treasurer: Deus John M. Magtulis, BSBA Marketing Management – 2; P.R.O: Dane Therese E. Edombingo, BS Psychology – 3; and Auditor: Alben John C. Dalipe, BS Management Accounting – 2.

The Director of the Community Engagement and Service-Learning Center is an adviser of this student organization. Also, the tentative office of this student organization is located in the old office of the CESL, Franklin Hall, for those organizations that want to have partnerships, collaborations, and linkages in the CPU Outreach Students Volunteers Society.
