Consolacion Day Care Center, San Miguel, Iloilo.

On March 13, 2026, the Central Philippine Outreach Students’ Volunteers Society (CPU OSVS), in partnership with the Association of Early Childhood Education Students (AECES) of WVSU COED and the CPU Province of Education Student Council (PESC), led the PROJECT ABC’S: Goes to the Farm outreach activity at Brgy. Consolacion Day Care Center, San Miguel, Iloilo.

PROJECT ABC’S: Goes to the Farm centered on the early childhood development of the young learners.  It aims to focus on the children’s literacy, creativity, and active engagement through a fun and engaging learning program. A total of 33 children aged (2) to (5) years old, who are currently enrolled in Brgy. Consolacio Day Care Center were the beneficiaries of the outreach activity.

The outreach consists of different activities, such as a farm story where animal sounds were introduced through a dramatic play, a coloring session where the children showed their creativity by coloring animal illustrations, and interactive games that brought out the children’s enthusiasm and competitive spirit. CPU OSVS volunteers led the energizer song that encouraged movement and engaging activity for the children. Together with the AECES and PESC volunteers, CPU OSVS volunteers assisted in the distribution of food packs, gift bags, as well as providing assistance to the children throughout the whole program.

PROJECT ABC’S: Goes to the Farm gives importance to nurturing the children in their early years of education. These early formative years will be their foundation for growth, character, and learning in the future. By engaging with the children, the volunteers have the privilege to witness how each child learns and expresses themselves in their own way. Their curiosity, creativity, and confidence to learn is a reminder that change begins with nurturing young minds.

The CPU OSVS expressed gratitude to all partners who made the event possible. The organization acknowledges its main partners, the Association of Early Childhood Education Students (AECES) of WVSU COED and the CPU Province of Education Student Council (PESC), along with the Brgy. Consolacion Day Care Center.

Through these unified efforts, PROJECT ABC’S: Goes to the Farm helped in creating a safe space to grow and nurture these young children, helping them discover their own path in shaping who they can be and what they can become.
