Breaking barriers–Central Philippine University (CPU) has taken a significant step in making quality education more accessible by introducing the Online CPU College Aptitude Test (CPUCAT) for students residing abroad. This provides aspiring international students with the opportunity to take the required college aptitude test without the need to travel to the Philippines, ensuring a seamless and convenient application process. An official announcement has been released through the CPU Facebook page on January 22, 2025, calling for aspiring Centralian applicants, which can be accessed through this link https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1B7ay9EcNg/.
True to its commitment to providing Exemplary Christian Education for Life (EXCEL), CPU started the CPUCAT last school year 2024-2025 as a standardized assessment to ensure that incoming students meet the academic standards of the university. Designed to evaluate aptitude, critical thinking, and subject proficiency, it serves as a gateway for aspiring Centralians, guiding them toward an educational journey rooted in CPU core values of faith, excellence, character, justice, and stewardship. This also supports Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG4) on quality education.
The introduction of the online CPUCAT eliminates the distance barrier, allowing students from various countries to take the test while maintaining the integrity and credibility of the examination process. Interested international students may access https://cpu.edu.ph/cpu-college-aptitude-test-cpucat/ to apply.
