Congratulations to Marc Christian M. Dejando of CPU College of Nursing for winning 3rd Place in the Photography Contest during the 36th National Statistics Month at DEPDev Region VI. To God be the highest glory!

Marc Christian M. Dejando, a third-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing student from the Central Philippine University – College of Nursing, won 3rd Place in the Photography Contest during the 36th National Statistics Month celebration held at the Department of Economy, Planning and Development (DEPDev) Region VI on October 28, 2025.

Dejando’s entry, titled “Beneath the Bamboo Shade,” captured a mother and child sharing a joyful moment of learning under their bamboo home as they browse the Internet and watch videos. The photo reflects how technology bridges the digital divide and empowers communities to access education and information through innovation.

Dejando, who also manages his own photography business, expressed his heartfelt gratitude in an online interview. “This success would not have been possible without the unwavering support of the people who have been the backbone of my photography journey,” he said. “To my parents and my brother, thank you for your endless support, especially during moments when I doubted myself about joining this contest. To my girlfriend, who encouraged me to participate and helped evaluate my photo entry, I truly appreciate your guidance and motivation. And most of all, to God, who makes everything possible above all – thank You.”

Dejando described the award as a significant milestone in his photography journey, inspiring him to continue honing his craft and sharing his passion for the art with others.
