Central Philippine University’s National Service Training Program held a forum on HIV Awareness and Rainwater Harvesting on March 14, 2026, at the Rose Memorial Auditorium.
The program began with an opening prayer led by Julienne Anlocotan (Stubcode 212), followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem and the CPU Alma Mater Song. Ms. Anya Mae Malumog served as the master of ceremony throughout the event.
Faith Demaisip (Stubcode 19) introduced the first resource speaker, Dr. Dimpna C. Castigador, Director of the Office of Institutional Advancement. In her talk on Rainwater Harvesting, Dr. Castigador discussed practical methods for collecting and storing rainwater, emphasizing its importance in sustainable water management and environmental conservation.

Sealthiel Keith Tiangha (Stubcode 211) introduced the second resource speaker, Mr. Joseph Carillo, Nurse V. In his lecture on HIV awareness, Mr. Carillo highlighted the importance of early detection, prevention strategies, and breaking the stigma surrounding HIV. He also encouraged students to take an active role in promoting health awareness within their communities.
Both forums included an open discussion where participants asked questions and shared insights on both topics. Certificates and tokens were distributed by CPU NSTP Coordinator, Assoc. Prof. Annalie D. Gilongos and CPU NSTP-CWTS Coordinator, Mrs. Ma. Leen C. Gahum to the guest speakers.
Intermission numbers featuring students from Stubcodes 211, 195, 196, and 212 were presented throughout the program to engage attendees and provide breaks between sessions.
The program concluded with announcements and a closing prayer led by Hadassah Mae Cadapan (Stubcode 195).
