The Central Philippine University-National Service Training Program (CPU-NSTP) held a forum on HIV Awareness on October 25, 2025, at 8:00 a.m. at the Rose Memorial Auditorium. The activity aimed to educate students on HIV prevention, testing, and reducing the stigma associated with the disease.
The program began with an energizer led by students under the class of Mrs. Emcy Sanchez, who also led the invocation. This was followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem and the CPU Alma Mater Song. CPU-NSTP Coordinator Prof. Annalie D. Gilongos delivered the opening remarks, emphasizing the importance of awareness and responsible action among the youth.
Mrs. Shirley H. Dario introduced the resource person, Mr. Joseph Carillo, Nurse V, who discussed key topics during his lecture on HIV Awareness, including modes of transmission, prevention, and available treatment. An open forum followed, where participants engaged with the speaker through questions and reflections.

Certificates and tokens of appreciation were presented by Prof. Gilongos and Mrs. Ma. Leen C. Gahum, CPU-CWTS Coordinator. Announcements were made before the closing prayer, led by Mrs. Dario. The program was hosted by Ms. Anya Mae Malumog, who served as the master of ceremony.
The forum forms part of CPU-NSTP’s ongoing efforts to integrate health education and social awareness into its civic engagement initiatives, reflecting CPU’s commitment in nurturing informed and responsible students.
