The Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training under the CPU National Service Training Program (NSTP) was held at the Alumni Promenade and Concert Park, led by Regin A. Jardio, Julius Ivan B. Dideles, and Rey S. Dongon.

The Central Philippine University National Service Training Program (CPU NSTP) held a Lecture and Demonstration on Disaster Preparedness and Rescue Operations on October 18, 2025, held at three different venues: the University Gym, Rose Memorial Auditorium, and the Alumni Promenade and Concert Park.

The activity aimed to equip NSTP students from both the Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS) and Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) programs with essential knowledge and practical skills in disaster response, promoting safety, preparedness, and volunteerism.

A Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Orientation and Drill was held at the University Gym, led by John B. Cobarrubias.

Lecturers included Regin A. Jardio, John B. Cobarrubias, Luben V. Villarino, Everick Paul S. Bedonia, Joerey S. Porras, Julius Ivan B. Dideles, and Rey S. Dongon. The program covered the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Orientation and Drill led by John B. Cobarrubias at the University Gym; the First Aid Training facilitated by Luben V. Villarino, Everick Paul S. Bedonia, and Joerey S. Porras at the Rose Memorial Auditorium; and the Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) demonstration conducted by Regin A. Jardio, Julius Ivan B. Dideles, and Rey S. Dongon at the Alumni Promenade and Concert Park.


A First Aid Training was held at the Rose Memorial Auditorium, facilitated by Luben V. Villarino, Everick Paul S. Bedonia, and Joerey S. Porras.

Students actively participated in hands-on exercises on first aid, CPR, and emergency response. CPU NSTP Coordinator Prof. Annalie D. Gilongos expressed appreciation to the lecturers for their dedication, emphasizing that the training empowers students to serve their communities in times of crisis.

The event forms part of CPU NSTP’s continuing efforts to promote civic consciousness and disaster resilience among the youth.
