CPU Medicine Student Council members take part in the “Pamaskong Handog” outreach held in Brgy. Bito-on, Jaro, Iloilo City, extending service and holiday cheer to the community.

The Medicine Student Council (MSC) of the Central Philippine University-College of Medicine conducted a community outreach activity titled “Pamaskong Handog” on December 11, 2025, at Brgy. Bito-on, Jaro, Iloilo City. The event aimed to share assistance and holiday cheer with community members.

The outreach brought together medical student volunteers who facilitated the distribution of gifts and engaged with residents throughout the program. The initiative provided students an avenue to connect with the community while practicing values of compassion, service, and social responsibility.

During the activity, volunteers collaborated to organize the distribution and ensure that community members were actively involved. The event also offered students an opportunity to work together outside the academic setting and strengthen camaraderie among their peers.

Through Pamaskong Handog, the Medicine Student Council highlighted the importance of extending care beyond the classroom. The outreach reflected the role of future healthcare professionals in serving communities and addressing social needs, especially during meaningful occasions such as the holiday season.

The December 11 activity underscored the College of Medicine’s commitment to holistic education by integrating academic training with community engagement and service.
