Central Philippine University: Setting the standard for excellence in education with ISO 9001:2015 recertification.

Central Philippine University recently passed the ISO Surveillance Audit conducted last July 1 to 3, 2024 by Certification International Philippines (CIP) through a face-to-face medium in various colleges and departments of the university. As such, CPU is still entitled as an ISO 9001: 2015 certified organization.

This achievement marks CPU’s continued commitment to delivering quality education and maintaining processes that meet international standards. The certification, initially obtained in 2004, ensures CPU upholds its vision of providing “Exemplary Christian Education for Life (EXCEL)” to all students.

By adhering to the ISO 9001:2015 standards, CPU ensures its processes are at par with international benchmarks, aligning perfectly with its Quality Policy that states, “Central Philippine University shall consistently provide all its stakeholders EXEMPLARY educational services geared towards global excellence through a quality management system of international standards that enables it to plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate the integration of Christian values, academic excellence, highest level of professionalism, quality consideration, and continual improvement in all its operations so as to fulfil its mission and realize its vision.”

The opening program on July 1st at the Henry Luce III Library was graced by the CPU Management Team, signifying the university’s dedication to the audit process. The closing meeting on July 3rd gathered both the Management Team and personnel from the audited units, fostering collaboration and transparency.

The CIP audit team, led by Mr. Marlon P. Campued and Mr. Carlos Isidoro I. Somera, conducted a thorough examination of CPU’s quality management system. Notably, the audit resulted in the successful closure of all previously identified non-conformities. This highlights CPU’s ongoing efforts towards continuous improvement.

This successful recertification signifies a significant milestone for CPU. It demonstrates the university’s unwavering commitment to delivering high-quality education and maintaining efficient processes. By adhering to international standards, CPU ensures its educational services consistently meet the highest benchmarks, ultimately benefiting both students and the institution itself.
