Parents take part in the Zumba activity, adding energy and fun to the Kinder Family Day celebration.

The Central Philippine University (CPU) Kindergarten Department conducted its “Sinadya sa Kinder” Kinder Family Day 2026 on January 30, 2026, at the CPU University Gym, with the participation of kindergarten pupils, their parents and families, teachers, staff, and interns.

The program commenced at 9:00 a.m., with parents and children grouped into team colors: Green, Orange, and Purple, while teachers, staff, and interns were distinguished by their teal attire. Families brought their own food and were assigned designated tables, contributing to the orderly flow of the activity.

The event was hosted by Mrs. Sunsen Guirjem-Casiple, LPT, Kindergarten Adviser. The opening prayer was led by Mrs. May M. Guillem, followed by the singing of the National Anthem led by Ms. Rhea E. Abalayan, LPT, Pre-Kindergarten Adviser.

A welcoming address was delivered by CPU University President Rev. Dr. Ernest Howard B. Dagohoy, who encouraged everyone to enjoy the day. He highlighted Psalm 118:24, saying, “This is the day that the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it,” reminding participants to celebrate and cherish the moments spent with their children. The formal opening of the Kinder Family Day was declared by Dr. Cecile G. Dagohoy.

An energizing Zumba session led by the CPU Kindergarten Interns followed. One of the main highlights of the program was the dance competition participated in by the parents of the kindergarten pupils. The competition was evaluated by Mr. Dominique P. Endriga, Mrs. Ada Mae Guillergan-Santiago, and Mrs. Candelaria E. Alavata.

A series of games were then conducted for the children, parents, and combined parent-child teams. These activities were facilitated by Mrs. Sunsen L. Guirjem, LPT, and Mrs. Angel Lee P. Carcillar, LPT, encouraging participation and interaction among families.

After the games, families shared lunch together. The announcement of winners was led by Mrs. Christine T. Getonzo, Kindergarten Adviser. The program concluded with a closing prayer offered by Mrs. Ronalie C. Caguimbay, Pre-Kindergarten Hope Parent, followed by the singing of the Alma Mater Hymn led by Mrs. Krisel Anne F. Fabila, LPT, Junior Kindergarten Adviser.

The Kinder Family Day was a meaningful celebration, reminding everyone that family moments, filled with laughter, games, and togetherness, are the heart of every child’s joy and growth.
