A heartwarming moment as CPUK students beam with pride, embracing the joy of learning and achievement during their culminating event.
On March 25, 2025, the Central Philippine University (CPU) Kindergarten Department held its much-anticipated Culminating Activity at Robinsons, Pavia. The event celebrated the young learners’ talents in singing, dancing, and creative expression, marking the culmination of their academic journey for the school year.
The program commenced with an inspiring opening remark from University President Rev. Dr. Ernest Howard B. Dagohoy, who warmly welcomed the attendees, emphasizing CPU’s commitment to holistic education. He commended the efforts of Principal Praise E. Glory, the faculty, and student interns for organizing the special program. “Our children will show us that even at a young age, they have what it takes to excel in many areas,” he said, reinforcing the importance of both academic and extracurricular engagement. He concluded his speech with a Bible verse from Proverbs 3:5-6, reminding the audience to trust in God’s guidance.
CPUK Principal Ma’am Praise E. Glory followed with heartfelt words of welcome. She expressed deep gratitude to parents and guardians for their unwavering support in their children’s educational journey. “Today, we witness the fruits of our children’s curiosity and hard work as they showcase the talents and skills they have nurtured throughout this school year,” she shared. She also highlighted the importance of parental guidance in shaping young minds, referencing Proverbs 22:6 as a guiding principle in child development.
The highlight of the event was the much-awaited performances by the Kindergarten students, divided into four segments: Team Jesus, We are KINDER, EXCEL Begins Here, Happiness is our Core, and We’re All Stars in the Same Sky. Each segment showcased the students’ creativity, enthusiasm, and confidence, reflecting their growth throughout the year. The performances delighted the audience, leaving parents and teachers beaming with pride. The CPUK Faculty and Staff, along with all Interest Group (IG) members, came together for a grand closing number, celebrating the culmination of the students’ hard work and achievements.
Ma’am Rhea E. Abalayan, the Interest Group Coordinator, then delivered the closing remarks. She expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the learners, parents, and teachers for their dedication and passion. She encouraged the young students to continue shining and exploring their potential, emphasizing that this milestone was just the beginning of their bright future.
As a token of appreciation, parents and learners received special gifts, recognizing their efforts and participation in the event. Ma’am Janeria Joy Espinosa, the CPUK Librarian, then led the closing prayer, thanking God for a successful and meaningful program.
The event was hosted by Francheska MJ A. Jalando-on, CPU Kindergarten Batch 2015, and Daniel E. Glory, CPU Kindergarten Batch 2018—both proud alumni of CPU Kindergarten. It concluded with a group pictorial, capturing joyful moments as students, parents, teachers, and administrators came together to celebrate this significant milestone.
