Representing Central Philippine University, Dr. April Ann B. De la Gente (center), faculty member of the College of Business and Accountancy, receives a plaque of recognition during Pasalamat 2025 held at Diversion 21 Hotel in Iloilo City.
Central Philippine University (CPU), a proud member of the Western Visayas Local Governance Resource Consortium (WVLGR), marked its active participation in the consortium as Dr. Lenny Rose P. Mucho, Director of the Review, Continuing Education and Consultancy Center (RCECC), together with Dr. April Ann B. De la Gente, a faculty member of the College of Business and Accountancy, represented the University at Pasalamat 2025, a recognition event hosted by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) VI.
Held at the Diversion 21 Hotel in Iloilo City, Pasalamat 2025 honored partner agencies, institutions, and stakeholders that have significantly contributed to advancing local governance initiatives across Western Visayas.

The event brought together representatives from National Government Agencies (NGAs), Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), the academe, and Provincial/HUC Governments, acknowledging their vital roles in implementing programs and activities that enhance governance, promote transparency, and improve public service delivery across the region.
By participating in initiatives like Pasalamat 2025, CPU reaffirms its commitment to fostering meaningful partnerships and translating academic expertise into impactful community engagement, exemplifying the University’s mission of service and societal development.
