CPU President Rev. Dr. Ernest Howard B. Dagohoy signs the Renewal of Commitment for HEIRIT TBIs during the 9th National TBI Summit in Bacolod City, strengthening CPU’s role in advancing technopreneurship and supporting the growth of innovation-driven startups in Western Visayas.
Central Philippine University (CPU), represented by President Rev. Dr. Ernest Howard B. Dagohoy, participated in the Renewal of Commitment for Higher Education Institution Readiness for Innovation and Technopreneurship (HEIRIT) Technology Business Incubators (TBIs), held during the 9th National TBI Summit at Citadines, Bacolod City on November 7, 2025.
This significant event, organized by the Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Council for Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development (DOST PCIEERD), reaffirmed the commitment of HEIRIT-supported institutions in advancing innovation and fostering technopreneurship across the Philippines. The gathering brought together key stakeholders from the government, academia, and industry to discuss strategies for strengthening the national innovation ecosystem.
CPUGAD TBI: A Leader in Technopreneurship in Western Visayas
As part of DOST PCIEERD’s HEIRIT Program, CPU established the CPUGAD Technology Business Incubator (TBI), which is currently the only private university-based TBI in Region VI. This achievement highlights CPU’s leadership in fostering innovation and supporting technopreneurship in the region.
